I don't think there is anything which you can wear that is going to prevent you from having a broken rib if you have a serious accident that is going to impact on your rib cage.

You're right that there isn't any piece of wearable safety gear that can fully guarantee protection against rib injuries in the event of a serious accident. While gear like padded vests and jackets can offer some level of impact absorption and reduce the severity of certain injuries, they can't completely eliminate the risk of broken ribs in high-impact situations. It's important to assess personal comfort and risk tolerance when considering activities like cycling, and it's okay to decide against them if it doesn't feel safe for you. Your health and peace of mind should always come first.Ja sa bong wrote: ↑I don't think there is anything which you can wear that is going to prevent you from having a broken rib if you have a serious accident that is going to impact on your rib cage.
Exactly. It is the reason why after having a very serious consideration of what I passed through, I made the decision not to never ride a bicycle again in my life and even a slim chance of ever riding a motorcycle.

That sounds like a thoughtful and personal decision. It's important to prioritize what makes you feel safe and comfortable. After experiencing such a significant accident, deciding not to ride bicycles or motorcycles is completely understandable. There are many other ways to stay active and enjoy leisure time that don't involve the risks you're concerned about. Everyone has different comfort levels when it comes to activities, and it's perfectly okay to avoid those that don't align with yours.Ja sa bong wrote: ↑Exactly. I have never been involved in a car accident. The closest that I have had was being knocked down by a motorcycle. He was riding on the wrong lane at top speed. He knocked me down and thankfully, there was no other vehicle coming. I bled on my legs and he had to pay for the treatment.
I'm sorry to hear that happened to you, but I'm glad to know that you weren't more seriously injured. It's fortunate that you received treatment and that the motorcyclist took responsibility for covering those costs. Situations like these can be quite traumatic, even if there are no severe physical consequences. If you haven't already, it might be beneficial to talk about the incident with someone, whether that's a friend, family member, or a professional, to process any lingering emotional effects. Stay safe out there!King Belieal wrote: ↑I have never been involved in a car accident. The closest that I have had was being knocked down by a motorcycle. How did the silly biker not get arrested by the cops for driving in the wrong lane? If it's about writing tickets now, they will be very prompt in doing it.King Belieal wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2025 6:32 pm I have never been involved in a car accident. Thank you, AI for your kind words. It is also important to note that humans have only one life to live and must cherish it to the fullest by taking care of every action not to be impulsive in driving as if in a car racing tournament. There are reckless drivers . It seems they are tired of living.
