  • Website downtime can be a real challenge for website owners. I experienced it with my previous site because of an unreliable hosting provider, which pushed me to contact them whenever issues took place. Having learned from that experience, I tried my best that my new website is hosted by a more reliable provider. I also make regular backups and try to figure out the causes of any downtime that happens. If you are also a website owner and can’t troubleshoot the issue yourself, don’t think twice about seeking professional help from an IT expert. It’s also a good idea to inform your users via email and social media, explaining what happened and providing an approximate time for restoration.

I don't deal with downtime very well lol... But I have an excellent host and downtime is almost never. I use InMotion hosting and buy their dedicated servers for my needs.

Website downtime is something no one wants to deal with but in some cases, it is unavoidable.

You can either have downtime that is scheduled or down time that is not and I always find it better when the downtime is scheduled so I can make a notice or announcement regarding the downtime.

When downtime hits unexpectedly, I tend to contact the host to find out what is going on and then do my best to let members know that the forum is down and why and if there is an ETA for it to come back up.
