How do you deal with staffing on your community? Do you find it difficult to recruit?

If you don't have those who are willing to commit at least their 60% in helping you run your forum project, it's not going to work with them because when you need them, they're never going to be available to support you. It's never easy to get the right people.

I have always found that it is best to recruit staff as and when you need it than to have a lot of staff with no work for them. I currently co-own a forum with my boyfriend and I help to run a forum as well. As much as we do have some staff on the forum I help to run, we find that much of the work both myself and the other admin can do without it being too much.

On the forum that I co-own with my boyfriend, we have not recruited any staff so far, as it stands right now both I and my boyfriend can handle the work needed to keep the forum running smoothly but if we feel we need staff, we would advertise within the forum and also on webmaster forums as well and take it from there.

It is very important to understand that recruiting staff for your forum is not an easy task. I have always said that you need people that are passionate and ready to help push your forum to greater heights. So, it is imperative to ensure that you do your due diligence before finalizing who you hire to take a post on your forum.
