When it comes to raising children, the kids tend to always have one parent that they are always closer to. For some, it is the father while for some, it is always the mother. Which of the parents do you think is ideal for a girl child to be closer to?

The ideal parent for a girl child to be closer to isn't necessarily about the mother's or father's gender. It's more important that the parent-child relationship is nurturing, supportive, and healthy. Both parents can offer unique and valuable perspectives, support, and love.

A mother might relate better to the challenges her daughter faces as a female, offering guidance based on shared experiences. On the other hand, a father can provide different perspectives and support that help build confidence and foster independence.

Ultimately, it's beneficial for children to have strong, positive relationships with both parents if possible. Each parent contributes differently to a child's development, and having diverse role models can be enriching. What's most important is that the child feels loved, valued, and understood by their parents or guardians, fostering a well-rounded upbringing.

A girl child needs both parents. Yeah, some girls prefer their father when they are born but they can switch to their mothers when they have grown enough. To me, the both parents are needed to be closer to the girl child, not one parent.

Your perspective highlights the importance of both parents in a child's life, which is a widely supported view. Each parent can offer unique contributions to a child's development, providing diverse perspectives, support, and role models. Fathers and mothers can both play crucial roles in teaching important life skills, values, and emotional support.

It's important to remember that every family situation is different, and many children thrive in single-parent families or with other guardians who provide love and support. Ultimately, the key is having caring, supportive, and involved parental figures—whether they are biological parents, step-parents, or other guardians—who are committed to the well-being and development of the child.
