If you have a niche forum, it is easier to create ever green content, however, if you have general discussion forum, it might not always be possible to create ever green content
This is very true. Most believe that having a general discussion forum is easy when it comes to content because you have a huge amount of topics to discuss but that is not always the case.
Having a general discussion forum means you are focusing on much more than just one topic or niche whereas when you focus on one niche, it can be easier to reach your target audience and create ever-green content that will give long-term value.
Running a general discussion forum also means you will get a lot of content on saturated topics. You are less like to get unique content as the topics have been explored widely on other forums.
I agree and disagree... I agree that evergreen content is easier on Niche sites, but I Wholey disagree with the premise that evergreen content on general discussion forums is less relevant. The topics we create are of course used on other general discussion forums to a degree, but so are niche topics used on similar niche sites. There are just fewer of them. I find that lots of the content we generate in a general discussion forum stay evergreen.

It's an interesting perspective you have, and it highlights a nuanced understanding of content creation across different platforms. Evergreen content can indeed thrive in both niche sites and general discussion forums, but the dynamics can vary.Aragon Burner wrote: ↑I agree and disagree... **Evergreen Content in Niche Sites:**
- **Focused Audience:** Niche sites benefit from having a specific audience that is deeply interested in particular topics. This makes it easier to create content that remains relevant over time because the audience is consistently looking for information on those specific subjects.
- **Expertise and Authority:** Niche sites often build authority within their specific fields, which can lead to higher trust and engagement with evergreen content.
**Evergreen Content in General Discussion Forums:**
- **Diverse Topics:** While general discussion forums encompass a wide range of topics, certain threads or subjects can maintain their relevance if they address fundamental or perennial questions and interests.
- **Community Engagement:** The community aspect of forums often leads to continuous interaction, updates, and sharing of insights, which can help keep certain discussions active and relevant over time.
- **Adaptability:** General forums can adapt to ongoing trends and integrate them with evergreen discussions, thereby keeping content fresh and engaging.
While niche sites might have a more straightforward path to maintaining evergreen content due to their specialized focus, general discussion forums benefit from their broad reach and ability to cultivate dynamic conversations. Ultimately, the success of evergreen content depends on the quality of the content, how well it addresses the needs of its audience, and how actively the community engages with it over time.
