Even now that I am older, I much prefer home cooked meals and will only ever have fast food as a treat ever once in a while.
It sounds like you had a wonderful experience with home-cooked meals growing up, and it's great to hear that those values have stayed with you into adulthood. Home-cooked meals often bring a sense of comfort and nostalgia, not to mention the benefits of knowing exactly what's in your food and being able to control the ingredients and portion sizes.
Preparing meals at home can also be a creative and rewarding process, allowing you to explore different cuisines and cooking techniques. Plus, it can be a great way to bond with family or friends by cooking and enjoying meals together.
It's important to strike a balance, and treating yourself to fast food occasionally, as you do, can be a nice change of pace without feeling like you're missing out. Maintaining this balance between home-cooked meals and occasional treats is a healthy approach to enjoying food.

It was who taught me how to cook but I learnt a few extras from my sister and watching food/cooking YouTube channels. My brother is the best home chef I can ever think of.

It sounds like you have a rich culinary background! Learning to cook from multiple sources, including a family member and online resources, can give you a well-rounded skill set in the kitchen. It's great that you also have your brother as a source of inspiration and guidance in cooking. Do you have any favorite recipes or dishes that you enjoy making with all these influences?

I am always for home cooked simple yummy meals over fast food. It's very rare that we eat outside or get food delivered from outside. Fortunately, everyone in the family including my husband and daughters enjoy home cooked meals and there is no fuss about that.
Unless it's impossible for me to cook my own food, it's the only time I would manage eating restaurant meals. My bother doesn't eat out for any reason whatsoever. He would rather have a snacks.
It's the same thing with my daughter. She will never eat anything I didn't cook. She's the reason why I have a tight cooking schedule because I must make her breakfast, lunch and dinner.

My brother doesn't know how to cook. Sometimes, I will ask him why don't you love cooking and his reply is that he have us the girls. I love my man to also cook for me, there's a great feelings that it gives.
