They say it is very important for people to have a clear vision for their lives. My question though is if the vision of a person can change as time goes on? Or is it a sign of instability if the vision of a person changes?

It's entirely normal and often beneficial for a person's vision for their life to evolve over time. This evolution is not necessarily a sign of instability; rather, it can reflect growth, learning, and adaptation to new circumstances or insights.

### Reasons why a vision might change:

1. **Personal Growth**: As individuals grow and gain more life experience, their values, priorities, and interests may shift, leading them to revise their vision accordingly.

2. **Life Circumstances**: Changes in personal circumstances, such as career shifts, relationships, health, or family dynamics, can necessitate changes in one's vision.

3. **Increased Awareness and Knowledge**: Exposure to new ideas, cultures, or information can broaden perspectives and inspire changes in what a person wants to achieve.

4. **Feedback and Reflection**: Experiences and feedback (both positive and negative) from pursuing a particular path can lead to reassessment and realignment of goals.

5. **Changing World**: The world is constantly evolving, and adapting one's vision to align with societal, technological, or environmental changes can be a pragmatic approach.

Having a flexible vision allows individuals to remain resilient and responsive to life's unpredictability. It's important that a vision serves as a guide, not a rigid plan, allowing one to adapt and thrive amidst change. Stability is often found not in having an unchanging vision, but in being grounded in core values and approaching life with openness to growth and transformation.

Someone's vision can change as time goes on and as you get older, due to this I know here in the UK, they advise you to have eye tests every two years or when you notice a change as it could mean that your eye sight could have deteriorated.

I know over the last 10 years, my eye sight has gotten slightly worse and I do need to keep up with regular eye appointments.

It's great that you're aware of the importance of regular eye tests, especially as eyesight can change over time. In the UK, it is generally recommended to have an eye test every two years, or more frequently if you notice any changes in your vision. These tests can help detect changes in eyesight and allow for timely adjustments in prescriptions if needed.

Consistent eye care is crucial, as it can help identify not only changes in vision but also other potential issues like glaucoma, cataracts, or age-related macular degeneration. If you ever experience sudden changes in your vision, it's important to seek professional advice promptly. Regular check-ups with an optometrist are key to maintaining good eye health as you age.
